About Me
Personality:
Sasha is a shy girl but at times hot headed. Her main goal is to succeed, as it always has been. She is always impressing her teachers and fellow students with her abilities, something she takes great pride in.
Outside of her studies, Sasha is a kind hearted girl. She is often stopping to help younger students find their way or to help her peers with that homework that they are struggling with. Her social life consists of a few close friends and many acquaintances. Suprisingly, Sasha is quite a well liked person, despite her shy attitude.
Sasha tends to stay away from awkward situations and confrontations, but she will stand up for what she believes in. This tendency has meant she is well known among the Slytherins, and also disliked.
Appearance:
A small, thin girl looks out of the mirror. Her height is below average at 4'11" and her weight, also below average, is 97lb.
She peers out at the world through dark brown, almost black, almond shaped eyes. Her eyes are set in a very pale, freckle-free face. There is no colour there, not even the rosey cheeks of her friends or family.
Framing the white face is a mass of dark brown waves, falling past her shoulders to the centre of her back. Sasha's hair is something she is very proud of, and considers it her best feature.
Her clothes are always one or the other, never a mix. They are also always at opposite ends of the spectrum. She either wears all dark, gothic clothes or all pale, girly clothes. Whatever she wears, they always flatter her figure spectactularly and she always looks like an artist's masterpiece.
History:
Edinburgh was graced with the arrival of Sasha Evelyn Francis on December 13 2007. Her parents, Alan and Isabelle Francis were the bringers of this joy. Three years later, sasha's sister Elaine appeared.
For the first five years, Sasha had a good life. Growing up in the historic city of Edinburgh, she learned a lot about her country and became very interested in the stories of Edinburgh.
As she got older, her love of history grew with her. Her father used to take her to the castle and tell her stories of knights and princesses.
Sasha's family began to fall apart when she was five years old. Her father lost his job as a potioneer and failed to get another. At the time, her mother was unemployed. After the loss of his job, Mr Francis changed. His family never found out why he was fired.
The next three years were unhappy. Mr Francis became increasingly angry and began using magic to punish the family, immobilising Sasha for four hours for forgetting to walk the dog or locking Elaine in the shed. Mrs Francis was forever losing her temper, and the two girls suffered for it.
At aged eight, Sasha saw her father walk out and never come back. The household returned to - almost - normal and they moved on. Sasha recieved her hogwarts letter and was sent to hogwarts, Elaine wasn't.
At hogwarts, it was immediately apparent that Sasha was a very talented girl, particularly in history of magic and transfiguration. She excelled incredibly fast in all of her subjects, surpassing most of her peers. Her education often came before her social life, meaning she was left out of most social gatherings.
As her school life progressed, her social life improved slightly and she gained a few close friends who are always with one another. Friends meant parties, so Sasha became quite popular, however she still only keeps a few friends close.
Roleplay sample:"This song is for a special friend who...who died two years ago," Maddie said into the microphone, steadying her voice. The crowd of people in front of her murmured inaudible words. She smiled weakly; yes, she had finally accepted it - he was gone, and he was never coming back. She lifted her lips towards the microphone again. "This is There Is A Light That Never Goes Out." Will's favourite song. He used to sing it to her sometimes, when he was in one of his really happy moods, the moods he said Maddie always put him in. She used to love how he'd just say little, meaningless things like that, but they would make her heart flutter for days. He'd sing to her and promise her that the lyrics he sang were a promise to her. Maddie smiled at the memories and looked at the guitarist to the side of her. He nodded and began the song.
"Take me out tonight, where there's music and..." her voice trailed off as her emotions almost over powered her.
"car, oh please d-don't drop me home, 'cause it's not my home it's their home and I'm we...come no more."
A few people began to sing along.
"Take me...tonight."
Her emotions were beginning to control her. A few people looked at her, waiting for her to continue.
One or two of Maddie's friends who had managed to make it to the gig gave her a sympathetic look, but they didn't know the true story behind Will's death.
Maddie considered running off stage, but her mind rolled back to a few hours previous.
"Jay, can I talk to you?"
"Sure."
"Whatever happens out there tonight, I want you to keep playing."
"'Kay...but, Maddie, what's going on?"
"Jus...Just do it please, Jay, as a favor for me?"
"Okay."
Maddie forced herself to continue and gripped the microphone so that her fingers turned white.
"Oh, please don't drop me home, 'cause I haven't got one, anymore. And if a double decker bus, kills the both of us, to d-die by your side is such a heavenly way to d...ie." Maddie managed to finish the song, although the stammering was continuous throughout.
She managed another weak smile and spoke to the crowd for the last time.
"Thank you and goodnight."
Her hand slipped from the microphone and she walked away, ducking under the dark veil hanging over the empty door frame that led backstage.
Once out of sight of the crowd, she dabbed her cheeks, covering her sleeve in black eye makeup.
She felt a strong hand pat her on the back, reminding her very much of Will.
She turned around to see Jay standing in front of her, with the rest of the band behind him.
"You did good tonight," he smiled. Maddie nodded, falling into his shoulder and closing her eyes, feeling Jays arms tighten around her.
Two years to the day, William Harris, the only thing Maddie had ever lived for, was kicked to death by complete strangers, just for being who he was.
