Anakin slowly opened his eyes. He could feel his heart pounding inside his chest like mad. Another nightmare he thought to himself. This one was far worse than the others, though it had ended quite quickly. He turned to look at the woman. He noticed that she was holding her wand and that she was making her way to a chair.
"I'm Anakin" he said, after thinking that they hadn't introduced themselves. "Anakin Prince" he added.

The sound of the boy waking made Cordelia turn back to face him. She saw him looking at her, obviously thinking about something.
"I'm Anakin," he said, "Anakin Prince."
Cordi smiled at him. "Madame Saitama," she said, then laughed, "or Cordi." She stood in silence after that, thinking of what to say next. The peacefulness of the Hospital Wing washed over them - again - as Cordi retreated into her thoughts. "So, are you going to tell me how you got into this mess?" She said, finally, breaking the silence and letting her voice ring out through the Ward. She knew he probably wouldn't, but she had to try anyway, it was part of her job [Agent:2]

"I was duelling some gryffindor seventh years, when they used a curse on me that landed me here" he said. He hated losing, and he hated losing to gryfindors even more.
But, what bothered him the most, was his lack of vision while duelling those gryffindors. He couldn't focus, and that's why he was here.

To Cordelia's surprise, Anakin told her a plausible excuse. She wasn't sure if it was the truth or not, but why would he lie? "Oh," she said. That was the most creative response she could think of. She sauntered back over to him and perched herself on the neighboring bed. "Are you going to tell me why?" She questioned in the most polite voice she could manage.
It was strange that someone would admit they'd been dueling to a member of staff.

"They pulled a prank on me" he said and made a face. He hated pranks, they showed immaturity. "They made me angry and we started duelling" Anakin said. He hated those rage fits he had, and thankfully those gryffindors hadn't seen his eyes turn red and orange.

Cordelia's eyes widened in surprise, but quickly slipped into a thoughtful expression. Well, it wasn't those Marauders she'd been hearing so much about, they were only third years. "McGonagall would sort all things like that," Cordi said, more to herself. She realized she was staring into space, and she guessed she had that glazed look in her eyes that she usually did when she zoned out. She looked back at Anakin. "Maybe next time you should just go to McGonagall, save yourself - or other people - from ending up stuck in here with me." She smiled. [Agent:2]

Anakin grinned. "McGonagall won't be able to stop it. It's all over the school. You must know about those Marauders. They are only third years. Can you imagine that?" he said and made a face. Those marauders would prank his cousin, Severus all the time. They were going to pay for it, nevertheless. "Besides, your company isn't that bad, after all." he said, and smiled.

Almost as if he'd read Cordelia's mind, Anakin brought up the Marauders. "Well," she laughed, "I was always scared to get on the wrong side of McGonagall." She shuddered in mock fear.
Cordi smiled at Anakin's next comment. "Aw, you've only just met me! I'm sure you'll get sick of the clumsy young healer soon enough." It was true, he probably would. No-one had ever had much patience with Cordelia. She was always doing something incredibly stupid, which, at the time, seemed perfect sane to her. A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she remembered these incidents.
The silence fell between them and Cordi went back to staring into space. [Agent:2]

"I wouldn't" Anakin said. He would befriend anyone that cared for him, even though they were clumsy or stupid. "The point is that nobody wants to go out with the evil, cruel, bad Slytherin guy" Anakin said laughing. He knew that he wasn't adorable, but that was who he was.

Cordelia looked back at the boy as he spoke. "I see the prejudice hasn't faded since I left," she smiled. It looked like it was always going to be that way; everyone hating the Slytherins, the Slytherins hating everyone. She sighed. "Age old tradition, I guess." She let out a small laugh.
Cordi jumped as the clock chimed. She slowed her heartbeat back down and rolled her eyes up to the ceiling, where hundreds of footsteps could be heard from the six floors above.
She looked back at her book, perched on the chair arm. Wingardium Leviosa. She sent the book back to it's place on the bookshelf; she probably wouldn't get another chance to read it. There was always someone coming into the Hospital Wing after class complaining they felt ill or they've injured themselves. [Agent:2]

"It's difficult to forget the past" Anakin said. He knew it quite well. It was really difficult to forget what he had done, what he had suffered, what he had faced.
"Perhaps one Slytherin might change that tradition" Anakin said. He hoped that he was the one.

Cordi sighed. "But the past also gets buried over time, and thus forgotten." It was true, the past was hard to forget, and even harder to let go of, but what Cordelia was saying was also true, and that scared her a little. She didn't want to let go of the past and lose the memories, but she did want to lose the emotions that came with it.
"Perhaps one Slytherin might change that tradition." Anakin said. "Possibly," Cordelia agreed. "I'm sure there are a few exceptions already." She knew there was, there always had been. Those friendships usually ended soon after the Sorting Ceremony, however. [Agent:2]

Anakin looked at the woman. She seemed so peaceful. He was about to speak, when the dark mark on his left arm burned. He was angry. It hurt like hell, and Anakin couldn't do anything but make a face.

"Are you okay?" Cordelia asked, frowning at the sudden grimace that captured Anakin's features. It had taken her by surprise. "Do you need another potion?" She asked, trying to remember where she'd put her wand.
